Oh dear! Its been a while since I've put some new pics on. Here are some from the recent trip to Niger. Janet - note the green shirt! It came in very handy, many thanks. The top two are from our field trip out to a village to see the water reservoir. In true style we broke down along the way and the men had to get out and push the mini-bus out of the sand.

Had a lovely last night out for dinner in Sydney before the big trip back to the UK and Canada.  Tony surprised me with a lovely ring!  Its beautiful!

Went up to Edinburgh recently for work and my French colleague, Christele, kindly invited me around for dinner and asked me to read the bedtime story to her kids. Here I am making a stab at reading them a French story about why the dodo is extinct. Apparently its because he was too lazy to fly so when the French arrived on Reunion Island the dodo could not escape! Seemed a bit gruesome for a bedtime story but Louis and Ella did not seem to mind.
